The defender is seen as Everton's most valued playing asset.

"There are some players who if they can cash-in on them then fine but in terms of Branthwaite, I would like to see him stay. I think it would be important for him personally to stay at least another year, he's not even had one full season in the first team in the Premier League.

I'd like to see him break into the England squad while he's at Everton and he deserves to go to the Euros. He should be given an opportunity because his performances have been fantastic.

"I feel that his development would be better if he stayed at Everton next season. I understand that every club from Real Madrid to Manchester United will be looking at players like him but he's a premium talent.

"As part of my job right now as a sports agency owner, I speak to clubs and they all want a striker who can score 40 goals and they all want a left-sided centre-half. We've let players go in the past who have been under-valued to hit financial targets and it's held us back."
