Former Spezia president Stefano Chisoli says Vincenzo Italiano would be ideal for Napoli.

Fiorentina coach Italiano worked with Chisoli at Spezia.

Chisoli told Radio Punto Nuovo: "From the outside it's difficult to understand what hasn't happened at Napoli, but no one expected such a collapse. They should have been the favourites with Inter and instead... Then straightening out the current season is almost always impossible, now the only thing that matters is planning the next one with clarity and goodness.

"De Laurentiis is a president with a great personality, all decisions will pass through him. I know DS Meluso very well, I would like to see him again as a couple with Italiano at Napoli next year.

"The two have a lot of respect for each other, Napoli would be the ideal place for Vincenzo. And he would be the ideal coach for this Napoli, he would really make the place have fun."
