Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi says he wants a deep connection with the fans.

The Italian continues to be linked with a move away this season.

De Zerbi said: “I feel the connection with the city, with the fans.

“I need the connection with the people, with the players.

“I want the relationship very close.

“I need that because without the relationship with the players, with the fans, with the club, I can't work and I can't give my best."
