Bournemouth boss Iraola: Victory over Everton important

Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola admits they were fortunate to win against Everton.

A mistake from goalkeeper Neto gifted Everton their equaliser before Seamus Coleman's own goal earned Bournemouth the win.

Iraola said: “Luckily for him (Neto) and for all, it hasn't cost us points, because let's say they equalised the mistake at the end and we could finish with the win.

“The most normal would probably be to win this game 1-0. Okay, it has been different, but we still have the three points.

"For us it was a very important win.

"We have arrived to 38 points, which is a good mark for us.

"We still have nine more chances to continue getting points.

"We had to play this kind of game today, because against Everton they are very consistent with the way they play.

"They will put you under pressure, even with long balls from (Jordan) Pickford and set-pieces. They are really physical and I think we dealt quite well during the game.

"We had our chances. It is not easy to score against them.

"They concede very few chances. I think we played the game we had to."
