Bernard proud of Forson after Man Utd breakthrough

Former Manchester United youth star Di'Shon Bernard has praised youngster Omari Forson.

The forward played in a recent Premier League game against Fulham, which United lost at home.

However, he is one who is being tipped for a big future in the game, even if he may leave United in the summer.

"I still keep in contact with Omari," Bernard told the Manchester Evening News.

"He was in digs with me when he first came to United, so I still keep in contact with him. I am proud to see what he's doing, getting a few minutes here and there.

"He started the other day. He is another London boy as well, so I am proud to see what he is doing. Even last year when I got injured and was training with him, I think I was always on him, making sure he was at it. You could see the potential he had and I am really happy to see him in and around the first team now and getting the chance to show people what he can actually do.

"Now, I think he needs to keep his head down. Once he gets the first taste of it, that's not it, he needs to keep searching for the next game and the next game and the next game. Hopefully he can stay there and keep playing there for a very long time."
