Bayern Munich coach Tuchel proud of Champions League record-breaking achievement

Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel is proud leading the club to the Champions League semifinals.

Tuchel oversaw Bayern's win against Arsenal last night as they reached the final four 3-2 on aggregate.

He said: "I didn't know I was the first German to reach the semi-final of the Champions League with three different teams. It's incredible every time to arrive in the top four in Europe, it was a very tough opponent but we deserved to qualify.

"Big compliments to the team. Mazraoui and Guerreiro are excellent on a technical level, we needed this depth and understanding on the left-handed flank, also with Musiala, because Arsenal's right-wing chain is really strong and Odegaard was there."

He also said: "I signed for Bayern, I give my all, it's an obligation when you train a team like this. Then the club decided differently, to have a less than beautiful approach, perhaps I would have preferred it differently but I told myself that it wasn't the case change my attitude. We are giving our best and we want to give everything until the end, I am happy with this great achievement but we were very good."
