U17 Women’s World Cup: Nigeria drawn with Poland and Korea DPR

Akeem Busari’s team secured qualification after defeating Benin’s Young Amazons 8-5 on aggregate. 

Nigeria won the first leg 3-2 at the Remo Stars Sports Complex in Ikenne before sealing progress with a thrilling 5-3 victory in the return fixture in Lome. 

The Flamingos will begin their tournament campaign against Poland on 17 October at the Women’s Football Complex in Rabat. 

They will then face Puerto Rico on 20 October before concluding the group stage against two-time champions Korea DPR on 23 October. 

The tournament’s tenth edition will be hosted by Morocco from 17 October to 7 November 2026.
