The 25-year-old has struggled with a hamstring strain that he picked up during England's hard-fought 3-2 win over Mexico, per Sky Sports.
Guehi did not train with the England squad ahead of the match at their base in Kansas City, but Thomas Tuchel has reportedly not given up hope yet that the Manchester City man will be fit enough to start against Norway.
The hamstring strain is not thought to be serious, but time is certainly running out for Guehi to return to full fitness in time for the huge World Cup quarter-final clash.
Dan Burn will be the likely candidate to replace Guehi at the back for Tuchel's side, a player that made an incredible appearance off the bench against Mexico, making several headed clearances and blocks to help England get over the line.
Burn could prove to be a worthy adversary in terms of his physicality for Norway's Erling Haaland, who has been pretty much unstoppable at the tournament so far, having scored seven goals.
