In a replay of the 2022 World Cup semi-final, France faced Morocco in Boston, winning 2-0 thanks to goals from Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele.
Morocco failed to pose much of an attacking threat with star man Ismael Saibari, who had three goals in his five games, out injured.
Speaking to BeIn Sport after the game, Rabiot appeared surprised by just how easy the game was, saying: “We felt that, in the moments when we didn’t have the ball, they weren’t very dangerous.
“We didn’t have to worry a lot about this team. It is the feeling that we had on the pitch. It’s a shock. But they are still a team that, at any moment, can make the difference because they have extraordinary individuals. That’s why you always have to stay vigilant.”
France will now face the winner of the Spain vs Belgium game in the semi-final.
