That transfer didn’t work out, however, and the midfielder was shipped out on loan to Panathinaikos before joining Girona last summer.
Now, according to Fabrizio Romano, Ajax are in talks to give Ounahi a second chance at one of the biggest club’s in Europe.
Negotiations are ongoing between the clubs and with the player, who has a €25m release clause in his Girona deal.
