Bologna are being celebrated this week after their impressive victory over defending champions Napoli on the weekend.
Sabatini, a former Bologna sporting director, told Viva el Futbol: "Bologna is a happy place. Its people are happy, and they communicate their happiness, transferring it by osmosis to the team.
"And the team is so connected to the people of Bologna, and among the players... they will do and are already doing amazing things."
"Think what I'm saying, in Bologna they'll say, 'What the f**k, you're bringing bad luck,'" Sabatini joked at one point. "But Bologna can win the championship.
"When there's this shared feeling, and you see it in the way the team plays, it's a mutual aid organization. One helps the other, they live happily in a happy city and have the wind at their backs, and they'll play a nasty trick on a lot of people."
