The centre-back made a total of 33 appearances in Serie A, with 24 from the start.
United had scouts on hand to take a closer look at the centre-back when Fiorentina faced Nottingham Forest this week.
And for today's friendly at Old Trafford, which finished 1-1, Comuzzo was effectively auditioning in front of United manager Ruben Amorim.
