It’s understood that Fernandes is keen on helping Man United return to their glory days with Ruben Amorim still seeing him as a key part of his plans.
According to TalkSPORT, Fernandes took a call from former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo, who tried to persuade him to make the move to the Middle East.
Fernandes had no intention of doing so, however, and will rebuff any further advances to remain in Europe ahead of next year’s World Cup.
