Al-Hilal planning Liverpool raid for Hughes

The Telegraph says Al-Hilal are keen to bring Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes to Saudi Arabia.

Hughes, who arrived at Anfield last June from Bournemouth, has been primarily responsible for managing the delicate managerial transition following the Jurgen Klopp era.

Although there have been no formal contact between the parties yet, the executive is on an exclusive shortlist of three candidates being considered by the Saudi Arabian giant.

A move for Hughes is now being prepared, with Liverpool anticipating an approach from Al-Hilal in the coming weeks.
