What about us? Man Utd's Carrington revamp has no room for academy teams

The Athletic says the academy players do not enjoy the same access and facilities at Carrington before the revamp.

Instead, the club's youngsters are being housed in temporary accommodation and no longer have their own dressing nor treatment rooms.

However, there is a change room for 'emerging talent', where certain selected youngsters training with the senior squad will use the facilities.

For their part, United are insisting they've been waiting on the arrival of new academy director Stephen Torpey (above) before settling on where to house their academy teams. However, it's also stated the work will be based only on a 'bespoke' training facility.
