Several top sides are on the hunt for Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo as the January transfer window approaches.

Since the start of April, Semenyo has been directly involved in 15 Premier League goals, second only to City striker Erling Haaland. The forward is perhaps the most targeted player heading into the January transfer window, which is just weeks away.

The 25-year-old scored once more against United in the 4-4 draw at Old Trafford on Monday evening in a game where a number of scouts will have been keeping a close eye on him.

It is no secret that top Premier League sides are after the winger as they eye his £65M release clause, and now an update from Fabrizio Romano has all but confirmed a race is due to begin.

"For Semenyo, the situation is really heating up.

"This week, Manchester United and Manchester City called to understand the situation of Semenyo. From Monday to Tuesday, some calls took place from Man United and Man City to understand the situation of Semenyo who has a £65m release clause.

"These clubs all called. Liverpool called in November and are now assessing what they want to do, both in January and with Mo Salah, before deciding on Semenyo.

“More than money, more than financial fair play, it’s the player who is deciding.”

Semenyo has bagged 18 goals and registered eight assists in the top-flight since the start of the 2024/25 season. The Ghana star is said to be open to a move away from the Cherries and he has his pick of the clubs as he contemplates his future.
