Tottenham Hotspur are looking for a new manager after sacking Thomas Frank this week.

Spurs sacked Frank after less than eight months in charge on Wednesday, with the side sitting 16th in the Premier League table, five points above the relegation zone.

Sources say the club have begun interviewing potential candidates and are keen on bringing in an interim manager, as reported by journalist Ben Jacobs.

“Spurs have decided to appoint an interim manager before proceeding with a permanent coach this summer.”

Former Marseille boss Roberto De Zerbi, Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner and Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola have all been linked but former manager Mauricio Pochettino was the favourite to take the job despite being with the USMNT.

Reports state that Tottenham are planning to confirm the appointment of a new manager by Monday ahead of next weekend’s clash with North London rivals Arsenal.

Pochettino will lead the US into the World Cup in the summer and could take over the Tottenham job permanently ahead of the new season.

The interim boss will be a candidate if their spell in charge is successful, but fans are keen on seeing Pochettino returning despite him being sacked by the club several years ago.

Sky Sports report that Spurs are looking to appoint an experienced head coach who has a track record of going into clubs and making an immediate impact as fans wait for a decision.
