Tottenham chiefs plan Van de Ven contract talks

The Holland defender is attracting major club interest from across Europe, with Liverpool and Real Madrid linked with a move over the summer.

Van de Ven's current deal runs to 2029, but Spurs management are eager to extend the arrangement and also had the player a pay-hike, says the Athletic.

Since arriving at Tottenham, Van de Ven has scored nine goals and provided two assists in 74 competitive matches.

Tottenham are currently in 14th place in the Premier League.
