A muscular problem has deprived Zirkzee the chance to be a part of United interim boss Michael Carrick’s first two match day squads against Manchester City and Arsenal.
The forward is expected to be available for selection at some point in the next fortnight but when fit he isn’t expected to slide back into the side where he is often used as a super sub rather than a starter.
United are flourishing without Zirkzee at the moment, beating both City and Arsenal since Carrick’s takeover. This has led to reports from GIVEMESPORT to suggest that Premier League rivals are ready to snap up the Dutchman.
Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace are among the sides ready to make offers for the 24-year-old who has just 2 goals in 14 Premier League appearances this season.
Tottenham have just seen the return of Dominic Solanke which will help their attack for the second half of the season. Meanwhile, Palace are set to lose Jean-Philippe Mateta to Nottingham Forest which opens the door for Zirkzee.
The end of the January transfer window is just days away and if Mateta does depart to Forest, Zirkzee could be the target for Palace as they seek a quick fix as a cut-price considering the young striker’s poor form.
