Roma director Frederic Massara has cofirmed that the club have pulled out of the chance to sign Man United winger Jadon Sancho, citing the player's lack of motivation.

The 25-year-old is arguably the most prominent member of Man United’s infamous ‘bomb squad’ after returning from his loan to Chelsea at the end of last season.

Sancho has reportedly had plenty of offers to leave the club this summer, with Juventus, Napoli, and, most recently, Roma all interested.

Roma were understood to have agreed a deal with Man United that would see the winger join on an initial loan with a £20 million obligation to buy.

Massara has since come out and confirmed that the deal is off, saying: “There are no conditions to proceed with this deal, especially as Sancho doesn’t have the motivations to join AS Roma.”
