Amorim has since eased some of that anxiety, saying that he is hoping the Cameroon international will feature in this summer’s pre-season.
Amorim told United's media team: "Bryan is starting slowly. He is not going to play in the next one. We hope to have Bryan in the last game (in the United States). He's training now, so we'll see."
Mbeumo played a key role for Brentford last season, scoring 20 goals and providing eight assists in his 42 games across all competitions.
