City host Wolves later today after defeats at Manchester United and Bodo/Glimt this past week.
“We have to do the basics right and win games – it’s the most important thing and where you get the energy from. I’m sure that we will get there,” said Reijnders.
“We have a lot of qualities in our team. What we showed at the end of 2025 with our streak – we can do that again.
“We’ve lost a bit of momentum but I’m pretty sure we will get it back as quick as possible.”
On the derby defeat, he added: “We were devastated – you want to win every derby. We didn’t see it coming how we lost like this.
“We have to keep the confidence in ourselves – luckily, we play every three days and now we have to be ready for our next game against Wolves. We have to keep going.”
