The 22-year-old is back with the Eagles after a loan spell at Sheffield United last season and has already attracted attention from various clubs hoping to lure him away from the Premier League. He’s unlikely to feature for Palace under manager Oliver Glasner who is open to letting him go for around £10M.
However, as reported by journalist David Ornstein, Rangers’ deal has been rejected despite it meeting their reported asking price.
“Rangers have made an offer for Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi.
“The approach from the Scottish Premiership club was for an initial loan with a potential obligation to buy worth up to £10million.
“The offer was rejected by Palace but Rangers’ pursuit of the 22-year-old remains ongoing and there is interest from elsewhere.”
At Sheffield United he bagged seven goals and two assists across 34 second-tier appearances. These performances have attracted Rangers as well as Southampton who see the youngster as one to watch for the future.
According to Football Insider, Southampton have the potential to beat Rangers in the race for the 22 year old this summer due to the Scottish side’s financial restrictions. This would explain their decision to try and get him on loan rather than outright. The Saints will see this as the perfect time to launch a bid as their build a side that can bounce back to the Premier League.
