Newcastle United’s search for a new striker looks set to continue after reports in Portugal claim Samu Aghehowa is leaning towards staying at Porto.

Eddie Howe’s side have been rejected by several transfer target so far this summer, with the likes of Joao Pedro, Benjamin Sesko, and Hugo Ekitike choosing other clubs.

Reports have since suggested that they will turn their attention to Porto striker Samu Aghehowa but he now looks set to turn them down too.

Reports from Portuguese outlet Record, the 21-year-old is fully aware of Newcastle’s interest, but he is committed to staying at Porto.

Aghehowa enjoyed an impressive first season in Portugal, scoring 27 goals and providing three assists in his 45 games across all competitions.
