The 22-year-old central midfielder is highly rated in La Liga and is often compared to Manchester City’s Rodri who has the superb ability to win the ball back as well as helping in attack. He has made 82 league appearances for Valencia, having spent two years with their youth teams and is now set to leave this summer.
Guerra, who has only missed four La Liga games in the past two seasons has been linked with United for a number of weeks and some reports have even stated that the club has an agreement with the player with a long term contract already agreed.
According to Spanish publication Marca, he has opted to turn down fresh terms to keep him in Spain within the past week which has only boosted reports linking him with manager Ruben Amorim and his side who are crying out for a player who can command the middle of the pitch.
After the departure of Christian Eriksen United are in need of a player like Guerra who is said to be available for just over £20M. However, Valencia have already lost Christian Mosquera who has agreed to join Arsenal which may make the deal harder to complete this summer as the club are continually raided.
