In 2014, Park hung up the boots and has since had various roles in football, including as technical director of Jeonbuk Hyundai, where he is now an advisor.

However, the South Korean is quite sure he will not become a coach.
"I'm not sure I'd do well as chief coach. There are things to say that can hurt the players in the squad.
"I don't have the confidence to give such messages with a complex control and an overview that it requires," says Park to the YouTube channel Captain Pachucho.
Park has briefly worked as a youth trainer in QPR, but solely to get his coach license, which he does not intend to use.
