It’s understood that Liverpool are still keen on signing Newcastle forward Isak, although the Magpies are reluctant to sell their star striker for anything less that £150 million.
Liverpool believe that stance will soften over the next few days, however, with Isak still on strike, according to the Mirror.
The Premier League holders are also confident they’ll be able to sign Palace captain Guehi before the window slams shut.
Guehi has just one year left on his contract at Selhurst park with no sign of the England international putting pen to paper on a new deal any time soon.
