Liverpool move for Brighton's Minteh as cheaper alternative to PSG ace Barcola

Andoni Iraola’s side are on the lookout for their Mohamed Salah replacement following the legendary Egyptian’s exit.

Liverpool had previously been linked with a move for Yan Diomande, but it’s understood that the RB Leipzig man would prefer a move to PSG.

According to L’Equipe, Liverpool are hopefully of signing Barcola, 23, from the French giants, but have been put off by their £128 million asking price.

As they now look for a cheaper alternative, TeamTalk have reported that Brighton’s Minteh, 21, has moved up Liverpool’s shortlist. 

The report states that Brighton would demand a fee of £70-80million for Minteh, who scored three goals and provided four assists in 36 games last season.
