After defeat at Chelsea last night, Slot insisted: "The more they play together, the more they will click.
"You have to work really hard to reach a certain level and it is very difficult in football because you also play against very good teams to keep that level up. By that I mean continuity. But it is clear that we had our changes during the summer. The players came at different times.
"Last week there was hardly any training time. Still, we have to try to get these players in. If the result had been better today with a draw or a win, we would have had a good start to the season if you take into account everything that happened in Liverpool this summer."
