There's claims that Slot is set to be replaced by Xabi Alonso at the end of the season just a year after guiding Liverpool to the Premier League title at first attempt.
FC Dordrecht coach Kuyt told Sky Sports: "As Liverpool manager, there is always pressure. I don't think Arne needs to change much, because he knows full well that there's always to be a win.
''People simply expect a lot of success here. And that's part of a club like Liverpool.
''There is always a lot of pressure here, that was also the case with Jürgen Klopp. You now saw that he was very relaxed, but that is because he is no longer a Liverpool manager."
He also said: "Arne should be proud of what he has already achieved in such a short period of success at this club.
''Liverpool has previously shown that it can be successful in Europe if things go less well in the Premier League. So who knows. I hope that will happen."
