Grimsby host United tonight for the first time since 1948.
Artell said: “It’s a fantastic draw for the football club, the town and the fans. It’s good to test ourselves against one of the best teams in the country.
“There’s already a buzz about what we’re doing at the club, and this just adds to it. It’s a deserved reward, not just for our performance in the first round but for how we’ve played across the first three games of the season.
“You always hope to draw a big fish, and we have done, so we’re looking forward to it.
“At the same time, I’ve not had any issues trying to motivate this group of players, regardless, and I think they’ve shown already that they’ve got that bit between their teeth that they need to show in every game.”
Mariners midfielder Kieran Green. “We were all watching the draw, and everyone was buzzing when we saw who came out.
“It’s going to be a great day for the club, and we’re obviously over the moon to have this opportunity."
