Gibbs-White struck as Forest won 2-0 on manager Sean Dyche's debut.
He said, “It’s an incredible feeling, something that we’ve missed. It’s been a difficult couple of months, but we have still had to look at ourselves, take some accountability, and tonight I think we put that right.
"The new Head Coach has instilled the willingness to defend again and to not concede silly goals and silly chances.
"The boys were great today — we defended really well. We were compact, tight, and difficult to break down.
"Going forward we could have done better, but today is the start and we will build on that now.
"I was delighted to put the boys in the lead, and I felt after that one went in there was a real aura and confidence around the stadium that we would see the game out.
"I don’t think there is anyone out there that deserves the win more than the fans; they’ve stood by us on a difficult road, but hopefully we can take this performance now and build on it.”
