The 22-year-old joined Chelsea from MLS side Chicago Fire back in 2022 as a highly rated young goalkeeper but hasn’t made a single appearance for the Premier League giants.
Slonina has been shipped out on loan to Belgian’s Eupen and then to League One Barnsley, where he only managed to feature 14 times.
According to French outlet L’Equipe, the American is now training with BlueCo sister club Strasbourg ahead of a potential move.
Strasbourg are on the hunt for a new goalkeeper following Mike Penders’, who spent last season on loan, return to Chelsea.
New manager Hugo Oliveira will now determine whether Slonina is a good tactical fit for his side ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Even if this move doesn’t happen, Slonina is still expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
