Antonio, 35, has since been training with Charlton and held talks over a potential pay-as-you-play deal with the Championship side.
According to the BBC, the striker has instead decided to sign a short-term deal with Qatari side Al‑Sailiya.
His move to the Middle East is now progressing and is expected to be finalised over the next few days.
