Salah was recalled by Liverpool manager Arne Slot for Saturday's win against Brighton before admitting he had dropped the striker for the Champions League victory at Inter Milan last week for his outburst against him and the club's directors at Leeds.
Salah is now joining up with Egypt's squad ahead of AFCON's kickoff and El-Sayed says the country is behind the legend.
"This interview was like a revolution in Egypt," El-Sayed, who has known Salah since he was 16, told BBC Sport.
"99% of Egypt supports Salah, and you can see from the reaction at Anfield that the Liverpool fans support him too."
Meanwhile, El-Sayed believes Salah will not be sold by Liverpool in January.
Asked about Salah's farewell to the Anfield support after the Brighton win, El-Sayed added: "Take this from me that it's just goodbye for now."
