Wolves were deserved 3-0 winners against West Ham on Saturday.
Jhon Arias, Hwang Hee-chan (penalty) and Mateus Mane struck for Wolves on Saturday.
Edwards said afterwards: “I feel good. It’s probably a bit of relief, and I’m really pleased, but I realise it's only one win, and that's all it is. But it's been a good day, so I'll enjoy it, and we should enjoy it, but realise why we won a game of football, and I think it's because we're building, we're progressing, we're getting better.
“I feel like we were good for the result as well, not just the win, the actual result. Of course, we'll take it, because we could all enjoy it a little bit more, rather than it being very nervy.
“That was for the fans. They have had such a difficult time. I know it's only one win, but that is for them, they need to be able to enjoy it. I feel like they did. The players are with us and working hard, and you can see that. So, it was a good day today and it was nice to enjoy it and maybe be a bit relaxed in the last couple of minutes.”
On Arias, he added: “His last two performance have been really good in that eight role, a deeper role. He covers the ground really well and obviously has a real calmness in possession with the ball."
