And the former Forest defender has brought in a full backroom team all boasting City Ground links.
Ian Woan and Steve Stone have joined Dyche as his assistants, with the two former wingers both proving favourites of the Forest support.
Alongside Stone and Woan, Billy Mercer and Tony Loughlan will also make up Dyche’s backroom team at the City Ground — meaning the entire incoming staff all have previous associations with the Reds.
Loughlan represented the Reds between 1989 and 1993, while Mercer spent time on loan on Trentside in 1995.
