Chelsea still have plenty of work to do as we enter the latter stages of the summer transfer window as the focus turns from incomings to outgoings.
The likes of Nicolas Jackson, Liam Delap, and Tosin Adarabioyo, among others, are expected to leave the club before is closes.
Now, according to BBC Sport journalist Nizaar Kinsella, young midfielder Essugo is the latest player they’re looking to ship out.
It’s understood that any potential move would be a loan, with a move to sister club Strasbourg looking the most likely.
With Chelsea not featuring in any form of European football this season, minutes are expected to be hard to come by for the 21-year-old.
Essugo joined Chelsea from Portuguese club Sporting for £18 million last summer, but injuries made it hard for him to adapt to life at the club in his first season.
