Afterwards, the veteran striker said: "It's the best United team we've met for a long time.
"They were really organised and structured and they always have amazing players. Today they punished our mistakes.
"It was a difficult fight, but it's someone we can look back on and learn from. I still believe that in the future we can come here and pick up three points."
The win has moved United into fourth place on the Premier League table.
