Dowman has shattered record since being introduced to the Arsenal side under manager Mikel Arteta who has shown a lot of faith in the youngster.
He recently became the youngest scorer in Premier League history with his goal against Everton in March, aged 16 years and 73 days and he continues his meteoric rise in the side.
As the summer approaches, Arsenal have been linked with a number of top players who could improve the side.
Speaking to CasinoWizard, Lauren believes that Arsenal were right to dodge signing Semenyo as they have Dowman at their disposal.
“Why try to sign Semenyo (in January) when we have Dowman? There is nothing Semenyo can do that Dowman can’t do the same.
“Give him some games, give him some confidence and then let him talk. Let him express himself. He has the quality, the intelligence, he can shoot, he can nick passes between the lines.
“Why would Arsenal sign Semenyo? There is more, much more to come from this boy. We have to give him the right confidence. We have to give them the games he needs in order to develop.
“He’s got everything and he should be in the England squad this summer. Of course, he has to learn.
“There’s a lot to learn when you start playing 90 minutes consistently. A lot you learn from the changing room. But that’s the only way to do it. You have to play week in week out.”
Arsenal, seeking their first top-flight crown since the 2003-04 season, have struggled in recent weeks. Dowman has been used off the bench for their struggles in the title race and Lauren may be right in suggesting the side hand him more game time in search for more points.
