With concerns over a knee injury for centre-forward Benjamin Sesko and with attacking pair Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo to depart for the Africa Cup of Nations, Amorim has raised the prospect of bringing in fresh goalscoring cover.

He said after Saturday's 2-2 draw at Tottenham: "We need to monitor everything, see what happened to Ben.
"Of course, we'll have a problem with the Africa Cup of Nations, but we already knew that. We'll see, when the transfer window opens, if we can improve the squad and improve things."
Further complicating things for Amorim is the likelihood of Josh Zirkzee departing in search of regular football.
