The 55-year-old has been in charge of City since 2016 and led them to six Premier League titles and countless other successes as the side establish themselves as one of the best on the planet.
Guardiola remains fully focused on the task at hand at the Etihad Stadium as they track down the title this season, but there is constant background noise over his shaky future.
The Spanish boss penned a fresh three-year deal at the Etihad Stadium towards the end of 2024 but many report that he will depart this summer when the season concludes.
Speaking to Stake, Aguero revealed that he thinks the club are ready to replace him and that whoever steps in will also find success.
“Pep has repeatedly said in recent months that he has one more season left on his contract, so there is no point in speculating now about whether or not he will leave at the end of the season.
“And regarding the second part of your question, it is always the case that when such a successful manager leaves, there is some kind of readjustment.
“But I have a feeling that City will know how to replace him very well when the time comes. A club, an institution like City, a club that has managed to establish itself among the elite, is already much more than just a great manager. And whoever arrives will have a solid foundation to continue growing.”
Former Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has been linked with the role as Guardiola backed him to take over the side. More news should come over the next few months as the Spaniard weighs up his future.
