Lille are now on the lookout for a replacement, and have landed on Real Madrid youngster Pitarch, according to The Athletic.
Pitarch is head coach Davide Ancelotti’s, son of former Real Madrid boss Carlo, preferred choice to fill the gap left by the Morocco international.
Real Madrid have turned the loan approach down, however, and Pitarch is expected to be a part of Jose Mourinho’s squad for the 2026-27 season.
The 19-year-old signed an improved contract with the club earlier in the week.
