Pocognoli delivers Pogba update and Monaco debut hopes

There was hope the former Juventus and Manchester United midfielder would make his much-anticipated debut last week against Paris FC.

But an ankle strain forced him out of the game in the lead-up  and the situation hasn't progressed this past week. Pogba hasn't played competitively for over two years due to injury and a doping ban.

Asked for an update, Pocognoli said on Friday: "He won't be present for this match.

"A return after the break? That's what we've planned. Now we'll have to see how he reacts to training, but yes, we're on track."
