Bologna have confirmed the signing of Jonathan Rowe, with the move coming in the wake of the winger’s controversial Marseille exit following a physical altercation with Adrien Rabiot.

Rowe, 22, and Rabiot were involved in what manager Roberto de Zerbi described as a “pub fight” following their 1-0 opening day defeat to Rennes.

Both players were subsequently placed on the transfer list by Marseille for their “unacceptable behaviour”, with the winger already securing a move.

The winger has signed a four-year deal with the Italian club, who reportedly paid a fee of £16.8m for his services.

He moved to Marseille from Norwich on an initial loan in August 2024, before making the move permanent this summer and scored three goals in 31 appearances for the club.
