Real Madrid Reach 'Verbal Agreement' With Bayern Munich Defender With Konate Up Next

The 27-year-old is out of contract at the Allianz Arena at the end of the season with talks over a new deal not making any progress.

Now, according to French outlet Foot Mercato, Upamecano has already agreed to join Real Madrid as they seek to sign new defenders.

Upamecano can’t officially sign a contract with any club until January 1st, with Xabi Alonso’s side also interested in Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konate.

The report adds that Konate, who is out of contract in 2027, is pushing for a move to the Spanish capital.
