A free agent after being released from his contract at Atletico Mineiro, Saravia has signed with Valencia to the end of the season.
The 32 year-old said, “I’m happy, very happy for this opportunity at the club and very motivated for what’s to come.
"The feeling is very good… I had other interesting offers, but when Valencia came along, I didn’t hesitate for a minute.
"It’s a very important opportunity for me … My goal will always be to give my best.”
Saravia also said: “I’m a defender who can play both right-back and right-sided stopper… I’m a fairly aggressive player, I like to be a protagonist, with a winning mentality. I hope to contribute my bit to the club.”
He added, “Valencia has a very special history with players from Córdoba. Kempes, Aimar, Beltrán, and now I join them … Argentine footballers have very special characteristics: they are hard-working, have a lot of character, and are eager to win.”
