Athletic Bilbao relieved after Sancet knee scan

Sancet broke down during Monday's friendly against Liverpool with fears he'd suffered a cruciate ligament tear.

The Navarrese ace was forced off the pitch after a heavy collision with Dominik Szoboszlai, who fell on his knee. Sancet attempted to continue, but the pain forced him to be substituted. 

There were major concerns as Sancet suffered a serious knee injury in 2018.

However, instead it has been shown the striker suffered a torn medial collateral ligament. He is expected to be out for approximately two months.
