Arsenal currently sit at the top of the Premier League table, are through to the Round of 16 in the Champions League, are in the FA Cup Quarter Final and have also reached the final of the Carabao Cup where they will face Manchester City on March 22nd.
Winning multiple trophies is more than possible for The Gunners this season as they fight in all competitions under manager Mikel Arteta who has struggled for silverware in North London.
Speaking to talkSPORT Bet Casino, McCoist believes that although it is a Herculean task, if anyone can complete a treble then it is Arsenal.
“An Arsenal treble? It's possible, improbable, but possible. I think we've seen in recent years how difficult it is for teams that are competing at the business end of the season in all competitions.
“As I say, it's not impossible, but it's very, very difficult. And I think the games will come thick and fast. I definitely think they'll win the league plus one. What that other one is, I'm not sure.
“But I think a treble would just be beyond them. But I could see them winning a double of some description. I mean, it's so difficult now. Look at the teams. But then you look at Arsenal right now. Are there any better teams in Europe? I'm not sure there are.”
Arsenal’s first chance to lift some silverware this season will come later this month when they face Pep Guardiola’s City in the Carabao Cup final. This could kickstart an iconic season for the club who are hungry for success under Arteta.
