Crystal Palace manager Oliver has been handed a driving ban this week due to being reckless.

Glasner has been banned from driving after he was caught speeding in his BMW in a 20mph zone near a South London Tesco last July.

This came just two months after he led the Eagles to FA Cup triumph in his debut full campaign at Selhurst Park as his actions were caught by a speed camera.

Reports state that he wrote to Willesden Magistrates’ Court to plead guilty to speeding at 29mph on a stretch of the road which has a 20mph limit.

"I fully accept responsibility for my actions and understand the seriousness of this matter", he said. "I have taken steps to ensure it will not happen again. "Due to the nature of my role, I will ensure I take the steps to address the issue."

However, his pleas did not work as he has now been disqualified from driving for six months and handed a £660 fine, an additional £130 in court costs, and a £264 victim surcharge, bringing the total financial penalty to over £1,000.

LBC report that Glasner was among 1,089 motorists to be prosecuted last week for breaking a 20mph speed limit, with magistrates handing out fines totalling more than £157,000 and 27 driving bans.
